The Unbreakable Man (Part 2)

Hehehe I’ve wrote one post earlier, and now the practice video gave me some 灵感 to write again :p

Well, most of us or maybe all of us had our eyes fixed on the upper body of HJ whenever we watched him dance or perform, right? Hmm, yea me too. First time watching it, my eyes were fixed on his body and Ta~Da he treated us with eye candy! 2:38 and all of them ripped their tops apart. Woohooo!! What a treat! Yum Yum~

Then I rewatched a few more times, each time my eyes go lower to his feet. This is just my personal observation from watching this video and choreography. Unlike previous other dance practice videos he released, this one catches my eye as I see how he move his feet and even though it’s the same dance steps for the dancers too, but HJ carried it differently. Soft and gentle moves but very powerful. Each step he took, each point he made, it’s fascinating to watch. Don’t just concentrate on his upper body, look downnnn….

Watch it carefully, especially with the 2 dancers on his sides. You can actually find differences in them even though the steps are the same. He dance with a story to the steps, while you can see the dancers are just purely dancing the steps. It’s different, and I love the feeling of it. Of course we have to give credits to the dancers, they are a fantastic team and they really bring out the whole choreography. You know, when you watch shows or dramas, there’s always the lead actor and second lead? HJ is the lead actor (OF COS) and the dancers are the second lead. With each step that HJ made (i mean literally the steps he made moving his legs!), it’s like telling a story to the dance. And with the body gestures, it really fit nicely to the whole song.

I don’t know if you understand what I’m saying, but anyways, I understand can liao. Haha :p

Seen the mv already? How do you feel?

Personally, I feel this is the best mv from him so far. It’s….awesome! While I was just looking forward to yet another mv which is the usual type from most kpop artists, different backdrop interchanging and pretty much that’s all, but Hyun Joong’s new mv had me jaw-dropped. It’s awesome, it’s a masterpiece. Simple yet speaks volume. You don’t have to busy your eyes with the fanciful everchanging backdrops that make it hard to concentrate well, you can just place all your attention on the Man himself and his dance and of course, his singing. And I like how the whole mv is showcasing the Korean traditional masks, tattoos, dance, drum and dragon painting. Raising the ordinary to extraordinary. (Haha i stole this line from Fifty Shades of Grey. I think it fits nicely into the whole mv concept.)

His vocal has improved, though he can still be better. He may not have a very strong vocal that can ring into your head and stay inside, but after a few more times of listening, it will definitely grow in you. The rhythm is strong and easy to follow, you can have your head nodding or foot tapping along easily.

Jay Park’s rapping is also blending in just nice. Nothing too loud or heavy. And my favorite part is when he said ‘Mr Park and Mr Kim’, hahahaha how cute is that?!!

Let’s all support Hyun Joong for his comeback and hope he win big time for this album, too. Fighting!

Happy 8th Anniversary to SS501

hmmm backdated post so I don’t have much to write actually, just post to keep track of good lovely days with my 동생들.

Even as a fan, celebrating any occasions like birthdays or anniversaries for the boys without their presence and knowledge has been something which I never thought I will do at all. Personally, I just feel weird, why celebrate when they are not with us? Haha but with this bunch of girls, I think I’ll do many things I can never imagine or thought that I will ever ‘dare’ do. kekekeke it’s just fun being together with them. Though I’m much older than them, but they never make me feel out of place. It’s always about food and fun and laughter and girls talks with them. This is why I like going out with them. :D

Hi~ July…

It’s a new month, half of 2013 gone just like that. *flipped*

 

Been eventful so far, but June has been the most busiest for me. Fandom and real life. Hectic and many times, very emotional.

Early June, I said I need to be away from fandom for I don’t know how long. It was rather tiring and pained to see fights in the fandom. I need a break away from these things personally. I’m a very emotional person, all the ups n downs are quite overwhelming at times. So, a break is what I’ve decided. How long? I don’t know. But I’ll be back one day.

Then….

I just bid farewell to my most beloved uncle, whom passed away on 25 June 2013. RIP Uncle, you’ll be missed dearly. *sobs* The past weekend was a turmoil for me, having to bid my uncle goodbye forever. Broke down a few times… from the moment I knew of his passing away, till the end of his funeral wake. But one thing that us family were relieved to know is that he passed away happily, he was wearing a smile on his face, even when lying cold in the coffin, his face has natural glow and wearing a smile that can even see his teeth. We chose to believe that leaving us was good for him, cos he’d be freed from all torment and pain that was taking a toll on his fragile and weak body. He is now freed from all these pain, he is living happily in another world. Uncle, whichever dimension you are in now, we will never forget you. Love you, always.
